Who sees UPI at checkout
UPI appears when both of these are true:
To get there, add a localized INR price to your plan with Price localization. Customers in India then see the INR price, and UPI next to cards and wallets.
One-time payments
The customer picks UPI at checkout, scans the QR code with their UPI app and approves the payment.- A single payment can be from ₹1 up to ₹1,00,000.
- QR codes expire after 5 minutes.
- Checkout supports UPI by QR code only. Customers can’t enter a UPI ID.
Subscriptions with UPI AutoPay
For a subscription, the customer approves a UPI AutoPay mandate in their UPI app at checkout. Kelviq then charges each renewal automatically.
UPI AutoPay depends on the customer’s bank and UPI app supporting it. Failed renewals follow the same retry schedule as cards. See failed subscription payments.
If you change a plan’s price and migrate existing customers, a UPI AutoPay mandate may need the customer to approve a renewal when the new amount is above the applicable regulatory threshold.
Refunds
Refund a UPI payment from the order in Orders with Refund payment. You can refund up to 60 days after the payment. The money takes up to 7 business days to reach the customer. As with every refund on Kelviq, the transaction fee isn’t returned and the tax part goes back to the customer. To find UPI payments, search forupi in Transactions.
